The 3rd installment of Brazos Valley Pulletpalooza is now over, and by all affordable measures, it was a rousing success. We had ten coops on the tour this year – 5 from Bryan, and five from Faculty Station and surrounding areas. Attendance ranged from only one or two folks at a few of our furthest-out places to virtually fifty guests at our central areas.
The Deluxe Diner closed in 2006 (that I do know for positive) however by that point was in a state of giant decline (food was terrible, management was even worse). Regardless of having some period diner items inside, the constructing began to rot and mold until 2012 when most of the restaurant was demolished save for a couple of partitions and was rebuilt into Chimy’s Cerveceria, which opened in January 2013.
