One of the methods was invented in the United States by Samuel F.B. Morse through the 1830s for electrical telegraphy This model was additional improved by Alfred Vail , Morse’s assistant and partner. Quickly after its introduction in Europe, it became obvious that the unique Morse Code was insufficient for the transmission of much non-English textual content, because it lacked codes for letters with diacritic marks. To treatment this deficiency, a variant known as the Worldwide Morse Code was devised by a conference of European nations in 1851. This newer code can also be known as Continental Morse Code.
